Connor Raithby
Connor Andrew Raithby is an Award Winning Director and Filmmaker based in Taunton, Somerset. He was born in Chelmsford, Essex before moving to study Film and Television to further his knowledge. He is best known for his low budget, independant films that have themes of Mind Health and Teenage emotions.
He started his career in the first Covid Lockdown of 2020, where we wrote and directed a short film called "The Quarantine Couple" starring his parents. With its unique style and colour grading it became in instant stand out for Connor, and proved to win the eye of many local filmmakers and industry professionals. From there, he went on to win. a total of 16 Awards for his best known film, "Maple Leaf" a story that focuses on the aspects of mental health and the pressures it can have on young adults.
In 2023, Connor had an extremely successful year, starring in Netflix Sex Education Season 4, A Trainee Assistant Director on an Oscar Shortlisted Short Film called "GoodBoy" Written and Directed by Tom Stuart, an Art Department Assistant on "Save The Children TV Commercial" and finally a Production Assistant on "Heavyweight" a feature film Written and Directed by Christopher Anthony. During this time, Connor also wrote and directed "Hallucinations" and "Stapler". Furthermore, Connor took an interest in Wedding Videography coming out of the pandemic, and decided to become a self taught Wedding Videographer. Something that still to this day, he has become known for.
