Erica Muse
Erica Muse was born Erica Long in Dallas, TX and raised throughout the suburbs. She has been acting in musicals and stage plays since she was 5 years old at Balch Springs Christian Academy, but got her start through Cosplay. Erica now works in film, voice-over, commercials, and print. She loves traveling to events to connect with fans, and attended her first fan event in 2006.
"It all began with my family's passion for Halloween. I feel my creative strengths grew, funny enough, from being bullied. It was drowned out when I became someone or something else. I got lost in the stories and everything else faded away. That lit a spark that kept me going through tragedies. The joy I've found in the reception of my work has shown me, my dream is to continue to use my creativity to touch people's lives. I just want to be a part, any part, of bringing stories to life. Because in my darkest moments, stories were my escape. Everyone deserves that. Helping provide them makes me feel whole. It gives me reason for those moments." -Erica Muse
She then shifted her focus to college, go-go dancing and waitressing her way through two semesters before taking a bartending class. The instructor was a videographer looking for extras for music videos. Among them, she appeared in videos with Rhymin' N' Stealin' where she became friends with Josh Martin. She provided costumes and wardrobe for the short film Wraith in 2012 and graduated in December. Her part-time job as a veterinary assistant could have paid the bills, but her constant fostering shorted her grocery fund and eventually rent. Back to juggling gigs to make ends meet. May 18th, 2014 her father was struck by a truck on his motorcycle. She became a business to business sales rep and took care of him. Working nights and weekends for a bikini team to build her portfolio, she helped fund his prosthetic, cared for foster pets, and was named Miss Maverick Harley Davidson 2015. May 18th, 2015 she was drugged and taken from a birthday party by Corey Shane Harris. After the attack, she no longer felt safe as a solo sales rep or model. Working through a temp agency, she got a job at an office she quickly bonded with and hired her on full time.
In 2017, Erica was asked to guest at a convention as a cosplayer for the first time. This was a path she had not previously considered, but happily pursued. While guesting at conventions with the help of her handler and blossoming new relationship, she crossed paths with Josh Martin again and discovered he was the voice of Majin Buu from the Dragon Ball franchise. She suddenly realized she could be a voice for anime, video games, and cartoons like the ones she grew up with. Josh referred her to Chris Rager's class, where she was advised to attend improvisation classes due to her time away from formal acting. She graduated from John Casablancas Center in 2018 and gained agency representation. Her new dream was to voice characters in anime, video games, and cartoons. "I believe people rely on these mediums to make them laugh, learn, or cry, and share those times with friends and family. I want to be a part of that!" In pursuit, she continued to train and became a full-time talent working in commercials, voice-over, print, and film in February of 2020.
