Pratik Sen
Pratik Sen is an Indian film and television actor, who predominantly works in the Bengali film industry in commercial cinema and television. He is also a singer, poet and an entrepreneur. Pratik was born in Kolkata on 6 May 1985 to Anuradha Sen and Pratap Sen, and grew up in Deoghar, Jharkhand.
Pratik got his first film role in Amar Bodyguard (2013) but his first film release was Prem Bandhan (2009). He then was seen in Passport (2012), Om Shanti (2012) and Dekha Holo Dujonay (2013). His role in late director Bappaditya Bandyopadhyay Sohra Bridge (2016) got Pratik his first nomination for Best Supporting Actor at the 46th International Film Festival of India. In 2017, Pratik starred opposite veterans Soumitra Chatterjee, Deepankar De in Chol Kuntal (2017). This was followed by Bhalobashar Bari (2018) and Atithi (2019). Over the years, Pratik received widespread acclaim and recognition.
Following the recognition received for Sohra Bridge, Pratik landed his first television serial, the super hit comedy drama Khokababu (2016), in which he played the titular role co-starring with Trina Saha. Pratik won 8 awards and 6 nominations for Khokababu between 2016-2018. In 2019, Pratik returned to television with the super hit family drama Mohor (2019) paired with Sonamoni Saha, which saw them become Bengali TV's favourite couple. Recognized as one of the most natural and versatile television actors in the Bengali film industry, Pratik continued his winning spree with 8 awards and 3 nominations for Mohor.
After the completion of Mohor, Pratik essayed the challenging role of Shaheb Mukherjee in Acropoliis Entertainment's Shaheber Chithi (2022) alongside Debchandrima Singha Roy.
The international award winning documentary and feature filmmaker Mainak Bhaumik had planned a feature film "Behaya" with Pratik and his Mohor co-star Sonamoni Saha that has been put on hold for now.
After Shaheber Chithi (2022), Pratik joined Magic Moments's serial Ekka Dokka (2022) as a parallel male lead to spice up the drama. According to the makers, Pratik's character, Dr Anirban Guha will be instrumental in reuniting the lead pair. The serial brings back fan favourites, Pratik and Sonamoni Saha to share screen space.
