Yuriy Yuryevich (Georgiev) Yakovlev is Bulgarian theater and cinema - actor , the son of Russian actor and director Yuri D. Yakovlev , who lived and worked in Bulgaria in 1920-1922 and from 1933 until his death in 1938. His son Yuri was born on October 5, 1930 in Riga, Latvija at the time when his father worked for the founding of the Theatre in the city. Three years later the family settled permanently in Sofia. His mother was a famous opera singer Zhana Sladkarov - Yakovleva. Her brother Angel Sladkarov is the creator of the operetta in Bulgaria.
