Junaid Jamshed
Junaid Jamshed Khan (September 3, 1964 – December 7, 2016) was a Pakistani singer-songwriter turned preacher, TV personality and fashion designer. He gained nationwide fame for his sweet voice as the vocalist of the 1980s rock band Vital Signs. However, he later came to frown upon his music career and became solely focused on religious activities. He began reciting nasheeds and preached Islamic teachings internationally. He also started his own boutique with the name J. (Jay Dot). He passed away from a plane crash, when he was returning from a sermon and was posthumously nominated for the Sitara-i-Imtiaz, the nation's third highest civilian honour.
