Tami Erin
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. Tami Erin (born Tamara Erin Klicman on July 8, 1974) is an American actress and model from Wheaton, Illinois. Erin began acting and modeling at 8 years old after becoming an Elite Model with Elite Model Management, one of the world's leading modeling agencies. She is best known in over 18 languages as Pippi Longstocking of the Columbia Pictures film The New Adventures of Pippi Longstocking. She was selected for the role of "Pippi" out of over 8,000 young actresses worldwide for her talents including acting, singing, dancing, gymnastics/tumbling, and horseback riding.
Career highlights include appearances on Good Morning America, The Today Show, and Entertainment Tonight. Her acting coaches have included Jeff Corey, acting coach to Jack Nicholson and Dustin Hoffman, as well as with Molly McCarthy of Lee Strasberg's Actors Studio, NYC.
She served as a UNICEF Ambassador, an exclusive United Nations appointment. Working with UNICEF, she spoke internationally on behalf of the United Nations and at the United Nations on World Children's Day. She continues to act with her most recent appearances being in Kill You Twice, Disconnect, A.G.E.N.T.S. from Giant Wonder and the Tim & Eric Awesome Show on Cartoon Network by Warner Bros.
